Problem
Facing critical funding budget constraints of new school, the owner desired a decorative functional and long lasting floor system that would look and function similar to terrazzo flooring. The owner reviewed previously installed DUREX references in schools to evaluate life expectancy as well as maintenance cost.
Solution
DUREX provided a custom color mix design for a seamless, fluid applied floor system that resembled the “look” of terrazzo, but at a significant cost reduction. The project was installed well under the traditional epoxy terrazzo Budget. The system also allowed for a faster build schedule of the finished flooring. In the end the new school was able to meet their budget with a long lasting low maintenance & attractive floor system.
