Problem
A government firing range facility needed a seamless flooring solution that would minimize the flooring maintenance in a heavily utilized facility. The aesthetics of this solution would also need to meet the equipment of an environment that is consistent with the precision required in the daily training of this government facility.
Solution
After reviewing the facility’s O&M practices, DUREX proposed an industrial fluid applied slurry system with an aliphatic urethane finish coat. The concrete was shot-blasted and prepared with an edge grinder. After the fluid applied slurry system was installed and the finish coats were applied, DUREX used stencils to apply the line striping and lettering/numbering required for the facility’s shooting lanes.
