Problem
New construction, high-end automotive dealership. The design specified high end porcelain tile to be installed in the 15,000 SF sales show room.
The concrete poured was severely out of “level” and rejected as not acceptable flatness for the 2 ft x 2ft porcelain tile. In order to install finished flooring, the tile contractor required a flatness tolerance of 1/16’’ in 10 ft.
Solution
The process required DUREX to shot-blast the new concrete in order for underlayment to bond, then pre-fill all cracks and concrete joints. DUREX then pumped a self-leveling cement underlayment to achieve flatness required.
The entire process was accomplished in 3 days.
