Problem
An office building with three levels of balconies was in need of a permanent solution to the peeling paint on the concrete balconies. The facilities department applies a coat of paint every year in an effort to create an aesthetically pleasing finish for the employees. Any treatment used would need to be able to withstand seasonal change, as well as temperature variance from 100° to freezing.
Solution
After review of the environmental conditions, DUREX recommended a Methyl Methacrylate (MMA) flooring system. These systems are designed for rapid cure, as well as exterior solutions as they are UV resistant and can include a non-skid additive for slip resistance.
