Problem
The existing facility uses the wash down areas frequently and the existing epoxy floor paint is not holding up to the abuse. This area is cleaned with a very strong chemical cleaning solution and the user needs a floor that can with stand these chemicals. The floor is peeling in areas as well as displaying little to no chemical resistance.
Solution
Durex mechanically removed the failing floor paint with large diamond grinders attached to dust controlled hepa-vacuums. A 1/8” industrial slurry broadcast Novolac Epoxy system was installed. Novolac Epoxies are specifically designed for industrial flooring environments that require superior chemical resistance, specifically acids. A non-skid additive was added to the final coat for slip resistance.
